Ms. Spurlock is one of the new teachers that have joined Atherton this year. This is her first year teaching. She teaches World History and Civics.
Before coming to our school, Spurlock worked with the Kentucky State Police in the Legal and Open Records Department.
“While finishing my masters at Bellarmine, I was placed at Atherton to shadow Mrs. Krausse last year. I enjoyed the school so much that when I saw there was an open position, I took it!” Spurlock said when asked about why she chose Atherton.
Mrs. Krausse introduced Ms. Spurlock to the school and staff, which made her interested in working here. Krausse described her as “Eager, hardworking, interventive, very responsible and accountable.”
“I love the school and its environment, the admin are really supportive and the other teachers are incredibly supportive as a first year teacher,” Spurlock said.
Outside of school, Ms. Spurlock likes to hang out with her two mancoon cats and listen to true crime.
