Mrs. Cindy is Atherton’s library clerk, and has been here at Atherton since 2014. Growing up, she always loved the library and reading. She even served as a student aide in her own high school library. Atherton is the first school she has worked at formally.
“When I decided to work with JCPS, I got lucky with getting my first interview at Atherton High school in the library.”
Cindy says her favorite part of her job is seeing the students while in the library.
“I just love talking to them, and, you know, catching up with them, finding out what’s going on in their lives and helping them.”
She says her favorite Atherton memory was when Jack Harlow was here.
“He stayed in the library with us every day, the same period he came in the library. So we really got to know him well.”
When asked about advice, Cindy said it’s important for students to understand that the world is totally different once you get out of high school.
“In order to succeed, you have to power and power through because life’s gonna kick you down every once in a while.”
