Mr. Jones is one of the Assistant Principals here at Atherton. “Some of my responsibilities include being the Assistant Principal for the freshman class, building supervision, and eating the leftover lunch food,” says Mr. Jones.
Mr. Jones has worked at Atherton for twelve years. For the first five years of his time at Atherton he was a counselor.
Before working at Atherton Mr. Jones worked at Parkview Middle school in Jeffersonville, Indiana, as a teacher and Counselor.
“ I also worked at a DOD School: Kinnick High School US Navy Base in Yokosuka Japan as a counselor.” says Mr. Jones.
He went to Bellarmine where he got his Bachelor’s degree in History and a masters degree in teaching. Then at Indiana University Southeast he got a masters in school counseling, finally he received his Principal Certification at Spalding University.
Outside of School Mr. Jones exercises daily and loves spending time outdoors and with his family.
