This year, Nurse Diana Dancy stepped into the role of Atherton High Schools nurse, making her a new face to many students!
Dancy went back to school to pursue a degree in nursing when she was 48. Now, in her job at Atherton, her favourite part is getting to help students.
Outside of the school setting Dancy loves to craft, whether it be jewelry or fiber arts. Her life is also deeply rooted in her family, having been married for 47 years she cherishes time with her son, two grandsons, and a puppy.
When asked if she had any piece of advice for readers Dancy felt inspired by her pursuit of education,
“Read everything you can get your hands on. If there’s something you come across throughout the day and you’re not sure what they’re talking about, investigate it. Find out, because that’s going to give you a more rounded education and be able to be in more conversations and know whats going on in the world”
With her creativity and commitment to learning, Nurse Dancy is an inspiring addition to the Atherton community.
