During the week of 9/15-9/20, Atherton girls soccer team had a winning streak of three the week against KCD, North Bullitt, and Eastern.
Atherton Ravens had a home game, dominating the KCD Bearcats with a score of 7-0. The Ravens achieved another winning streak of 3 in a row.
The North Bullitt Eagles were defeated in an intense game losing by 0-3. Delaney Payton, #1, 11, had 7 saves as keeper.
The Atherton Ravens fell short losing to the Eastern Eagles with a final score of 4-3. However, the Ravens were able to keep a winning streak of 4 beforehand.
With only 6 games left in the season, the Lady Ravens have a win-loss record of 10-5-1. During the season, the team managed to score 74 goals. The three goalkeepers, Delaney Payton, #1, 11, Georgia Gabhart, #13, 11, and Lillian Yarmuth, #10, 11, have achieved a combined score of 71 goalkeeper saves.
The Atherton girls soccer team has their senior night on the 23rd as well as playing, representing Kayden Lewis, #18, India barker, #6, and Claire Carrico, the team’s manager.
The team will play against Highlands Latin at Waggener high school for the 27th district on October 6.
