Mr.Kordesich has been teaching since 2020, when COVID-19 hit. Here at Atherton, he teaches Pre-IB Geometry and Math Intervention. He never imagined himself as a teacher. In high school, Kordesich said, “I would never come back and be a teacher.” Kordesich went on and earned a Bachelor degree in Art of Economics with a minor in Business. Kordesich then discovered his passion for coaching, so he obtained his teaching certificate.
Kordesich now soaks in the culture at Atherton. Kordesich is busy facilitating the Nest and being the boys’ Lacrosse coach, with possibly more clubs to come. Kordesich is very antisocial. However, he wouldn’t have it any other way. The connections Kordesich makes with students are something that he cherishes.
“I often listen to instrumental music on the way home from school,” Kordesich said.
Outside of school, Kordesich is very active, participating in tennis, Weightlifting, and Lacrosse. Kordesich immerses himself in the world of books, movies, and TV shows. Kordesich is also full of surprises. In high school, he won best dressed and best hair in senior superlatives.
You can find Kordesich in room 104 or in the Library, being the best teacher he can be.
