Mrs. Bartlett is one of the many outstanding English teachers here at Atherton High School. Throughout the day, she teaches three different classes: AP English, IB HL English, and Women and Gender Studies.
Mrs. Bartlett decided to go into teaching because of her love of working with students.
“My favorite part of teaching is being able to dialogue with students and listen to their unique perspectives,” she says. She believes that while her students learn from her, she also learns from her students.
Before she taught at Atherton, Mrs. Bartlett taught at Seneca High School for ten years.
“I was ready for a change and I really like the open and welcoming atmosphere here,” she says on why she decided to begin teaching at Atherton.
Outside of school, Mrs. Bartlett loves to travel and can be found planning for her next trip. “Getting away helps me to clear my head!” she says.
