Mr. Smith is a beloved teacher in Atherton’s history department. He balances teaching Civics, year one and two of IB History of the Americas, and Dual Credit U.S. History. He enjoys providing his students with group work opportunities and interactive projects to keep them engaged in class work.
This is his sixth year at Atherton, and it is by far his favorite school to teach at.
“I love the students here,” he says, “they’re respectful, engaged, and fun to be around!” Mr. Smith enjoys interacting with his students and checking up on their progress in class.
Outside of teaching, Mr. Smith is an avid golfer and skier. He enjoys athletics and used to play football. Along with sports, he likes to spend time with his kids and family.
