Oldham County Track Meet Photo Gallery (April 30th)

On April 30th the Atherton Ravens Track and Field Team participated in the Oldham County Sundown track meet.

For the 400 meter race Lauren Brown (11) set a personal season best with a time of 1:01.37, placing her 6th.

Preston Goodwin (12) set a new personal season best in the 1600 meter race with a time of 4:44.70, placing him 4th for this category. Ian Robertson (9) ran a 4:44.25, placing him 3rd.

In the 3200 meter race, Atherton had 4 runners place in the top 10, with all getting personal bests in this category. Elliott Williams (11) who placed 4th with a time of 10:52.82, Milo Westbrook (10) placed 5th with a time of 10:54.59, Griffin McLaren (9) placed 8th with a time of 11:11.05, and Forrest McLaren (11) placed 9th and ran a 11:15.86.

Atherton competed against Assumption, Central, Frankfort, North Bullitt, North Oldham, Oldham County, Presentation, Highland Latin, Holy Cross, Kentucky Country Day, Martha Layne Collins, Sacred Heart, South Oldham, and Spencer County High Schools.

After a strong showing at the Oldham County Sundown, the Ravens continued to practice for upcoming track meets.

David Bussell (12) is joining the Aerial staff for the 25-26 school year. Bussell is excited to cover more sports news and club info on the aerial page and is ready to refine his writing, become a better interviewer, and to continue to improve as a photographer. He is looking forward to mixing his passions of photography and writing and making himself the best he can. Outside of school Bussell loves to work on cars, take photos, and listen to music. He loves a variety of music genres including: Country, Rap, Nu Metal, and Rock. After school he plans on going to college to major in something in the medical field and continue journalism, Bussell is an only child with his Mom Dad and dog Mila. He currently works at the JCC as a tutor for jewish kids teaching them Hebrew. He loves all things racing including Nascar his favorite driver being Mark Martin, but enjoys racing movies too such as: the Fast and Furious and Baby Driver.
