The Atherton Ravens softball team concluded an impressive season with a 13-2 loss against Assumption in the regional championship game. Despite the outcome, for the first time in program history, the Ravens played a hard fought game in the regional tournament at Ulmer stadium. The team showed determination and resilience despite being seen as the “underdogs”.
Several Atherton players were recognized for their outstanding performances in the tournament. Izzy Cummins and Charlee Heselschwerdt both earned spots on the 7th All-Region Team and Kaylee Harris, Ava Keen, and Charlee Heselschwerdt were each named to the All-Tournament Team for their contributions.
With a regional runner-up finish and many outstanding players, Atherton softball completed one of its strongest seasons that will forever be remembered.
