Ms. Green is a member of the Health Science pathway, teaching classes such as Principles of Biomedical Science, Medical Interventions, and Forensic Science. She loves to give her students lab-based assignments and encourages hands-on learning.
“There’s really not a typical day in the classroom,” she explains in regards to daily activities. She often gives lectures as a means of conveying information, but she prefers when students learn by collaboration.
“There’s just so many different ways to learn the content that I teach.” She sets up labs and projects that correspond to each unit. Her students gain practical experience in their classes that give them insight into the field of health science as a career. In her forensic science class, students simulated the Kastle-Meyer test for blood identification.
Outside of the classroom, Ms. Green loves to spend time with her kids.
“Watching my kids do the things they love,” is her favorite thing in the world. She is an avid gardener and enjoys tending to her flowers.
