During the week of September 8–12, Atherton’s Varsity volleyball team faced a challenging stretch with three back-to-back matches. The Lady Ravens took on Collins on Monday (9/8), Male on Tuesday (9/9), and Seneca on Thursday (9/11).
Atherton opened the week against the Collins Titans, suffering a 2-0 loss with set scores of 25-14 and 25-19. This marked the team’s fourth loss of the season. Despite their efforts, the Ravens were unable to avenge a previous defeat to Collins from October 2024.
The following night, Atherton showed grit against the Male Bulldogs. Although they managed to take one set, the third, with a hard-fought 26-24 victory, they ultimately fell in four sets. Final scores were 20-25, 25-10, 26-24, and 25-11.
Closing out the week on Thursday, the Lady Ravens faced the Seneca Redhawks. The Ravens were unable to gain momentum and fell in straight sets: 25-15, 25-12, and 25-13.
While the week ended without a win, the Lady Ravens continue to build experience and resilience as the season progresses. Senior night will be this Thursday (9-18), come out and support our Lady Ravens!
