Ms. Jordan began working at Atherton in 2023 and currently teaches freshman Algebra 1 within the freshman hallway in room 121.
Ms. Jordan had around 17 years of teaching experience before joining Atherton; she began teaching immediately after graduating from college with a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Western Kentucky University and Murray State University with a major in chemistry and a minor in mathematics.
Jordan had previously taught in Hopkins County, Christian County, and Warren County before moving to Louisville. She chose to come to Atherton after teaching middle school for a few years and missing teaching freshman algebra as a teacher.
Outside of her career as a school teacher, Jordan likes to travel, spend time with her loved ones, and watch documentaries and television shows, including true crime.
When working at Atherton, Jordan adores her students in the classroom, in a way that makes her students just like her own children. She believes that her students have the potential to be well-rounded individuals both on and off the Atherton campus.
“I’m always here for my students, whether it’s this year or three years down the road; if they need something, I’ll be there for them and encourage them to reach out for it.” Ms. Jordan said.
“Most students believe that their teachers will not think about them after school, but we do. We care about their academics but never more than their overall well-being, and we hope they do well.”
