Throughout the school year, Atherton’s staff likes to reward any seniors that are PSR (Post-secondary ready) with small events to celebrate their hard work. In the month of December, seniors were awarded on a cozy morning with hot chocolate and donuts. Students were able to bring their own mugs or cups to receive hot chocolate. The event took place during the beginning of first period, starting off the morning with a good breakfast surrounded by friends.
To become PSR, there are multiple ways to achieve the goal. One of the ways which most students receive is through test scores. That can either be AP, IB, dual credit, ACT or SAT scores. If a student CO-OP’s, they can also use those hours to achieve PSR.
Atherton’s staff knows that December can be stressful for seniors with college decisions, finals, and figuring out life before graduation. The event let seniors unwind with friends and laughter. There will be more events following throughout the year to celebrate senior achievements. Make sure to check your gmail from Mrs. Marzian to find out if you are PSR!
