Basketball Homecoming is a time for the Atherton Basketball teams to aim for victory on their home court and for students to dance like it’s a party in the USA.
For Basketball Homecoming, Atherton Ravens took on Fern Creek High School. Both the girls’ and boys’ varsity teams defeated the Tigers. The boys’ final score was 53-33, while the girls’ game was closer, ending in 46-35.
After the girls’ game, students flocked to the small gym. The Junior Class Officers transformed the gym to a “Sno-Ball” from fake snow to Christmas trees. With the lights off, it created a perfect ambiance for dancing. Students dressed up in formal attire to follow along with the theme.
The gym was packed. Songs like “Cha Cha Slide” by DJ Casper and “Macarena” by Los Del Río brought students together, while “Lover” by Taylor Swift left others feeling a little lonely.
For some students, it was their first homecoming. For others, it was their last. Homecoming is a key event that students should look forward to and experience. Homecomings are over for the 2025-26 school year making students look forward to next school year.
