On New Year’s Eve, the season finale of Stranger Things came out on Netflix. Many students at Atherton followed along with the show from the beginning, and became invested in the story and characters.
AnnaLee Minteer (11) has been watching the show since 2020. She enjoyed the show as a whole, but has mixed feelings about the

finale.
“I like this season, but I feel like the ending was just really rushed and it feels like they ran out of time for it. I think I would have made the battle scene at the end longer and I wanted it to overall be more emotional. It wasn’t that emotional, it was just expected,” said Minteer.

Annalie Rodriguez (10) started watching when the fourth season came out. She also has mixed opinions on the finale, but did enjoy the last season, and found it emotional.
“I really like the show, I just wish it ended differently. Season five had good parts and bad parts. It was pretty emotional. I cried during some parts. I didn’t like the ending but the show overall was great, said Rodriguez.
Bruce Leisten (11) has been watching the show since it first came out in 2016. He enjoyed the show, and while he was disappointed with the last season, he doesn’t mind the ending.

“Season five was a little bit disappointing, but I’d rather have a happy ending than a sad ending. I feel like the acting isn’t as good in this season as it was in the first ones. I like the show overall though,” said Leisden.
Although the reviews of the last season are not all positive, it is safe to say the show overall had a big impact on many viewers.
