Since January has ended, many students have been reflecting on how they’ve kept up with their New Year’s Resolutions. While some have made progress, others are still building up to their goal.
Luis Rivero (11) mentions that his resolution was to be more productive overall.

“I wanted to workout more, try to make more money, and use my time better. I have been following it a little bit by getting more money and using my time wisely,” Rivero said.
While he has made progress, he also has general goals for the overall year that he is working towards.
“In general, I want to finish junior year strong and get ready for my senior year, and I want to get a new car,” said Rivero
Wesley Drake (12) has been following her New Years Resolution quite closely, and staying on track.

“My New Year’s Resolution this year is to read more. I haven’t been good about reading much recently and I just need to do it for my own enjoyment so I decided to read every night before bed for 10-15 pages,” said Drake.
Drake mentions that staying consistent was easy, until she got sick.
“I kept it up until last week when I got sick and then it was hard to do because I was so exhausted but now I’m feeling better and I’m gonna try to start doing it again,” said Drake.
“It helps me be on my phone less and I set a bedtime for myself and now before bed I sit and read and I think it’s better than being on your phone before you go to sleep.”
Kendall Walton (12) has been doing things to help accomplish her resolution.
“My New Year’s resolution is to be more organized and more productive. I’m a little forgetful so I’ve been forgetting to do it, but I’ve

been more organized. I got a planner and I’ve been using it,” said Walton.
As February begins, students are at different points in their resolutions, with some maintaining them, and others adjusting and working to restart, which shows that any progress can make a difference.
