James Islington’s “The Shadow of What Was Lost” is a beautiful creative piece that fully immerses the reader into a complex and well crafted world. From the complete and unique magic system to the well thought out history and story of this world you were thrown into, it really keeps you wanting more. This book may be long and daunting, but it is well worth the read especially for people who enjoy fantasy books and love a complex and creative story. I fully recommend this book to anyone looking for a book that can cover all bases from time travel to politics.
