Stehpany Belcher has been here at Atherton for 4 years. Ms. Belcher is an Engineering counselor as well as a counselor to full IB students.

Ms. Belcher went to the University of Louisville as well as Murray State and got a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and master’s degree in school counseling. Her senior year of college at Murray state, had the opportunity to student teach in Jefferson County public schools. She took the opportunity and has been in JCPS since. After graduation Ms. Belcher went on to be an elementary counselor and then came to Atherton after the engineering counselor retired.

Ms. Belcher is the senior sponsor and helps organize field trips and events for seniors.

“I really enjoy being the senior sponsor. It’s just fun to be involved in all the senior activities,” Ms. Belcher said “I love working with the senior class officers, they’re a great group, especially this year.”

Ms. Belcher’s end of year goals is to get all off grade level students back on grade level and to try to improve attendance with the other counselors.

Outside of school Ms. Belcher loves to read and watch movies. Ms. Belcher also spends a lot of time going to her daughter’s dance recitals and her son’s baseball games.
