The past two weeks have been intense, to say the least. Students and staff were off a full week of school, including a 2-hour delay and another NTI day the following week. I recently found this song on shuffle from Spotify, and it’s easy to say it’s been on repeat. This is a perfect song to wake up to in the morning, whether getting ready or battling the cold air. No doubt in the morning, this song will wake me up, feeling refreshed. There are a lot of different rhythms and beats in the song that makes it unique, perfect for any type of feeling that day.
“Sally, When The Wine Runs Out” by Role Model
This song has easily become a classic for me, his entire album matter of fact. The album has everything to get you in any type of mood whether it’s dancing, in your feels, or wanting to sing your heart out. It’s definitely a summer song that makes me want to roll down the windows and open the sunroof and jam out.
“Rainbow” by Cage The Elephant
Off of their newest album, Neon Pill, this song is fast paced and embodies a good time. This song reminds me of sunny days, a cool breeze, and a nice drive. The name “Rainbow” ties in perfectly to summer. The beat and rhythm is different from other songs, pulling me in each time I hit the play button. Cage The Elephant never misses, and their newer songs prove just that.
“Deadcrush” by Alt-J
This song is perfect for those that love to explore new artists or songs.“Deadcrush” is unique, blended by vocals and the background music, creating a perfect harmony. On top of that, the song is very fast-paced making someone want to repeat it over and over for a good reason. Alt-J never fails to create one-of-a-kind songs, each one is never like the next, catching their listeners on a hook.
“A Horse With No Name” By America and George Martin
My sister has been playing this song non-stop, intriguing me more and more. The pace of the song, vocals, and beat makes me fall in love over and over. The lyrics draw me in the most, I’m constantly finding new strings that tie together making me ready for the next bridge in the song. It’s definitely a classic between me and my sister that I would always recommend.
