Earlier in the fall, Atherton had a college signing for three seniors committed to colleges for sports. As the school year continued, Atherton is proud to host 11 more college commits. Due to construction and testing in various places, the spring signing ceremony took place in Center Hall on Wednesday, May 6. The event celebrated the seniors’ dedication to their sports, personal self-growth, and overall achievement for their high school career.
Seven out of the 11 commits were from the Ravens football team. Colton Lewis and Makhi Morris will attend West Virginia State University. Quilshaun Baines and James Briscoe will attend Eastern Kentucky University. Tyrone Thurston will be playing for the Louisville Thunder Football.
For Atherton’s basketball team, Jeffry Johnson will be attending Spalding University. Kenan Tudor will be attending Alma College. Lastly, Leyla Taylor will be attending Central Bible University.
Finally, Isabella Wilmes will be attending Centre College for Field Hockey.
These seniors have made an extraordinary mark for Atherton’s community, as well as their sportsmanship. Congratulations to the Seniors!
