After a 6-6 season, the Boys Atherton Lacrosse season is over with a final score of 5-7 against Collegiate in the District Simi-Finals.
The season started rough with a 4-game losing streak to Eastern, Bowling Green, Collegiate, and Collins. But as the season progressed, the Ravens secured their first win, beating Ballard with a score of 10-7.
After this match, the team won five consecutive games. Two of these games were Clean Sheets (meaning the opposing team scored zero points), with Atherton beating Dunbar High School 21-0, the most points Atherton has beaten another team by. They also won against Oldham County with a final score of 15-0.
The last few games of the season were back-to-back, with a loss against Tates Creek and a win against Male. The last planned season game ended in a loss against Manual.
The Ravens brought spirit and energy this season and put up a fight every game. It was truly a privilege to follow the team this season, and I wish them nothing but the best in the future.
