On May 18th, dozens of Atherton freshmen were rewarded with the annual trip to Kentucky Kingdom’s theme park for their hard work they’ve done over their first year in Atherton. With a trip thrilling as this, Atherton Ravens were encouraged to be on their best behavior to earn this reward. With freshmen’s good behavior; getting to class on time, no technology violations, completing all their online courses, and being on track for their next year in Atherton, they were all hyped to finally have their last reward as 9th graders on a trip that they’ll never forget. Benny Locklear and Sara Rogers (9), were students who came along to the Kentucky Kingdom Trip. This event was a big deal to both students.
“I went on a trip here previously last year and it was my best memory ever, so it was really exciting to repeat it,” said Rogers.
“When I first heard about the news, I was really excited since I moved into this school in February. It has been fun showing one of my friends a new ride because he has never been on it before,” said Locklear.
