As the season came to an end, a few members of the team looked back on their joys and hardships.

Allison Grout (10) explains how she reached her goal of becoming faster than last year.
“When I saw my progress wasn’t as exponential as I wanted it to be, I overcame it by being consistent and coming to practice,” said Grout.
Rylee Carothers (12) explains how she had the opportunity to grow her relationship with the team.
“The team was a lot smaller this year so I was able to get a lot closer with the people on the team.”
Many students are walking away from this season after learning various valuable lessons. Ione Murphy (10) shared her advice to younger runners.
“Don’t be afraid to try things out. Even if you haven’t ran before in the past, you can’t get any better at anything if you don’t try,” said Murphy.
