Mrs. Patty Schweinhart is Atherton’s clerk receptionist for the front office, and has been at Atherton since 2000. Before working at Atherton, she was a teaching assistant at Fern Creek Elementary.

Patty’s job consists of helping out with front office duties.

“I meet and greet people, answer the phones, let people in and out of the door, do Chromebook distribution, and pretty much anything else. I just do whatever anyone in the office needs me to do,” said Patty.

She also is one of the junior class sponsors, alongside Mrs. Swanson, helping them out with events and planning.

“I like doing extra things after school with the kids and I love that interaction. Of course that why I’m still here because I know I would miss it if I retired anytime soon,” said Patty

Patty’s favorite part about her job is talking to all the people, getting to know the kids, and being able to help everyone out with anything they need.

Outside of school, Patty loves to travel. She also loves to spend time with her family, especially her grandkids.

Patty believes that you need to be optimistic no matter what.

“Always look on the bright side and always, no matter what, don’t let other people drag you down. Don’t allow somebody else to change the way you feel,” said Patty.
