The 2026 Superbowl took place on February 8th, 2026, where the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots faced off. This year, the Seahawks won 29-13, making this their second superbowl win since 2014.

Amani Jean, (9), was a student who tuned into the game.
“I was surprised about how the patriots played, I liked how Seattle played, good offense. The halftime show was cool, I thought the wedding part was cool as well,” said Jean.
This is in reference to a real marriage that took place during Bad Bunny’s performance.
Shelby Watkins, (9), watches the game every year, although this year, found it a bit boring due to the teams playing.
“I didn’t really pay attention to the commercials but I loved the halftime show,” Watkins said.
Sofia Whittington, (9), went to a superbowl party, however, she enjoyed the other aspects besides the game.
“I also wanted to watch the State Farm ad because KATSEYE was in it. I thought the halftime show was good, I didn’t know any of the songs but it was cool that Lady Gaga was in it,” Whittington noted.
The 2026 Superbowl game was enjoyed by many students of Atherton, especially the half time show. This yearly game brings people together through football, music, and ads.
