The Quick Recall team had an outstanding finish to regular league play! The team competed hard against other schools as they matched over topics such as math, science, language arts, humanities, and more.
The Varsity team placed 2nd in their division, with Adam Olin earning 5th place in Math. The JV team also gave a high performance with Simon Runge placing 3rd in Science, Aidan Chastain in 5th for Social Studies, Hazel Simkoff with 4th in Language Arts and 3rd in Arts & Humanities, and Kayla Shumate winning 1st place in Arts & Humanities!
Kayla Shumate (9) reaches toward success by being resilient through matches.
“After a lot of really close games, it’s easy to tell myself if I had gotten one more question right it would’ve been different,” Shumate said. “But knowing I gave it my all and having the support of my team has been the best.”
Shumate’s experience with quick recall is greatly enhanced by the presence of her team.
“My team’s presence and being able to laugh with them after losses is such a great motivation,” Shumate said.

The Quick Recall team is soon to be heading to the Governor’s Cup for state-level victories. As that competition approaches, the team is having to prepare diligently.
Simon Runge (9) is excited to step towards his goal of more victories in science.
“We practice by studying the statistics for the probability of a question appearing and using websites to look at those questions,” Runge said.
The Quick Recall team has had an amazing start of their season through their perseverance and flowing dynamics. As they progress to the Governor’s Cup, be sure to congratulate them and wish them luck!
