The No Hate tour made a stop at Atherton last Tuesday, March 17th. The No Hate Tour is a group of ex-X Games competitors and medalists who talk about their experiences with bullying on and offline while doing impressive BMX tricks. The performance is funded by the US Marines and ADA Entertainment to help lower bullying at schools across America at no cost to the school.
Jackson Elliot (10) knew the performers on the tour from a young age. He presented the idea along with information to Dr. Fluhr, and she did the rest.

“I haven’t seen any bullying at Atherton, but I know it exists even in little ways. It was a really good message to have,” Elliott said.
Jackson has even felt the effects of the tour personally.
“I’ve had people come up to me and say that they are not ever going to bully again because the performance was so good,” Elliott said.

Jerrel McWilliams (9) was a freshman who attended the performance and was really hyped about it.
“My favorite part was when they did a flip over Dr.Fluhr and the US Marine Corps recruiter,” McWilliams said.
“It inspired me to see that you can do anything you put your mind to. He was super young, and he stayed persistent and turned into something great,” McWilliams said.
BMX performances in the gym are not an everyday occurrence. Atherton is really supportive when it comes to student ideas that benefit the school. Thank you to Jackson, Dr. Fluhr, and Mr. K for bringing this event together!
